How old does my child need to be to attend Wise Owl?

Children can join the Yellow Ducklings group in the January of the year that they will turn 4 and can stay at our school for a total 3 years. We recommend enrolling your child as soon as possible as we do have limited space.

What are your opening times?

Short answer: Mon – Thurs 7.45 – 14.00
Friday 7.45 – 13.00

Long answer: Although each class has staggered arrival and departure times (see more details here), we do offer early care from Monday to Friday and aftercare from Monday to Thursday (times above). We also have a working arrangement with a trusted aftercare facility in the area for those families that need holiday care or a slightly longer day.

Does Wise Owl follow the national government school holiday calendar?

Yes. Our holidays generally concur with those of Kirstenhof Primary School as many of our pupils have older siblings at the school.

Do you run a school holiday programme?

Although we do not offer holiday care at our premises, we do have a working arrangement with a trusted and well-respected aftercare facility in the area for those families who would like this option.

What primary schools do most of the Wise Owl children go to?

Kirstenhof Primary and Sweet Valley Primary are both popular choices due to their proximity to Wise Owl, but this list is not definitive.

What about safety?

Our premises are secured by CCTV, we have one entry and exit point with strict access control, and our staff have gone through rigorous safety and first aid training.

How can I enrol my child?

Do you take enrolments midway through the year?

Based on availability, yes, we do!
